Medical Appointment Transportation
Getting to a medical appointment shouldn’t be a source of stress—but for many in our region, it can be.
Whether it’s a trip across town or down the mountain, our Medical Transportation Program helps ensure community members get to healthcare appointments safely, on time, and with dignity. We coordinate rides for seniors and others who need extra support getting to medical and dental visits, lab work, therapy, or other essential care.
Our friendly drivers offer door-through-door assistance, meaning they don’t just drop you off—they help you to the door, and make sure you’re supported every step of the way.
We’re also proud to serve outlying areas around Truckee within Nevada County, which are not covered by existing local services.
To keep our program safe and reliable:
Volunteer drivers are background-checked and trained in transportation best practices.
Rides are scheduled in advance and coordinated by our team.
All riders complete a brief intake so we can understand their needs and offer the right support.
Service is always free, thanks to the generosity of donors and community sponsors.
